Comments on Classes
This class was absolutely fantastic. Professor Duderstadt was very well prepared to teach this class and made learning very enjoyable. I would love to take another course from him. I think teachers like Professor Duderstadt make learning fun and help student’s progress. I have had some really bad teacher, but I am very proud to say that Professor Duderstadt was an absolute joy to have as a teacher. He helped me when I needed individualized instruction and he made things very simple to understand.
Well although I can see the benefit of finding resource myself to solve problems. I am also paying lots of money to learn these course materials and get frustrated when an instructor points me to a website or more lectures to solve my problem. In my eyes I am paying these instructors my money to TEACH me the material and solve my problems. It has happened in many of my class. Professor Hank never did this to me and had an amazing way of teaching. He would still use outside sources to help but he would also fix the problem in the assignment and send me a video of how to do it. Now I can write my code with out having to go back and relearn. I think it should be mandatory that we get video feedback like Professor Hank provides. His academic excellence should be a model for all of your professors.
The instructor was great −he used video critiques and responded to our assignments and posts immediately. He was very encouraging and helpful in every way he possibly could. One of my best instructors so far.
This instructor was awesome. He had a good attitude toward the students.
He had a sense of humor that you don’t find often in an instructor and you could tell he likes what he does. I also really enjoyed that he actually gave feedback for each part of the assignment rubric. A lot of instructors just give one general feedback, but his was broken down right with each part of the rubric. I already had a pretty good knowledge of illustrator before taking this course, but I did learn some new tricks to help me along the way. I was glad to have this course as one of my very last courses here at AI. It helped put a nice end to my schooling. Thank you Hank for being a great instructor!
Excellent course, and feedback through screen sharing software
I hesitated at first whether to take this class now or later, because of fear of not doing well. Professor Duderstadt told me to hang in there, and togo over my steps methodically and slowly which really helped in understanding the coding process. He is a great teacher and was a wonderful support person in opening a new world tome.
The instructor was excellent at being involved with all the students in the course. He answered questions in a timely manner. His responses included pushing us towards available resources to research our own answers, as well as providing his own video responses where appropriate. Hank definitely was one of the rare instructors I’ve had at Ai that clearly went above and beyond normal requirements to help the class learn a difficult subject. With his help, I learned a lot about ActionScript specifically, and programming principles and algorithms generally.
Instructor Hank is an awesome instructor! He takes the time to provide personalized feedback and suggestions that will give you a better understanding to accomplish the work at hand. It’s not just a job for him, he makes a difference and it shows in the work and response of his students. It would be great if he were able to teach more subjects, our better yet train some of the other instructors how to instruct. Can’t say enough positive things about him. Excellent instructor. a difference because
This was an excellent class. I enjoyed the instructor. His feedback was excellent and helped me discover new ideas or ways to perform a task related to the subject. This was by far one the best experiences I havehad in taking classes with AIO. The material and instructor encouraged me to learn and do more. I only wish the class were longer.
Very exciting course, I was really happy with the projects and timeline for them.
Mr. Hank Duderstadt was an excellent teacher! He took extra time tohelp me through emails and on the phone. He also posted Jing links to particular assignments to help the class out, he is a great teacher and cares about his students. The Art Institute should be proud to have an asset such as Mr. Duderstadt
I honestly have to say that Hank is one of the best instructors that I’ve had. I had him for ActionScript Programming as well. His replies and critiques are always very prompt. Both both classes, he does his critiques as a video. This makes it more personal and easier to understand. You feel good because you know he actually takes the time for his teaching.
Instructor Hank Duderstadt is the best teacher here are AIP, there is no question about it. He provides great feedback and you can learn better in his classes. I have had him as an instructor before and he tried really hard to teach well. He is the best!!!
Hank Duderstadt is simply the best instructor I’ve had at AIO. He checked in every day, usually providing feedback within an hour, and his interactions were always tailored to the individual student and their assignments. He also knows the material very well.
